Saint Calais. Skating rink, fire-eaters, shop windows: discover the program of the Christmas market

Installed on the Quays of Anille, the Christmas market organized by the association St Cal’ en fête will take place for the first time for a whole weekend.
Saturday at 3 p.m. market opening at 4 p.m. arrival of Santa Clausat 5 p.m. concert organized by Les amis de l’orgue de Saint-Calais in partnership with the Intercommunal Music School, which will offer Christmas music and carols at Notre-Dame Church.
At the end of the day, musical wandering and fire-eaters, animation by the Cultural Center and the association Les Petites cités de Caractère.
Model making and skating rink
Sunday, 2.30 p.m., nautical model building on the Anille with the Le Pélican club, pony rides, farm animals and “lively music with a local group of percussionists”, promises Mickael Huger, president of St-Cal’en fête. From year to year, local associations accompany the organizers for an ever more successful Christmas Market.
During the market, from the ice rink, circuit of animated windows over 1 km. “There will be new themes, a new scenography with around sixty automata”. They will be illuminated thereafter from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. until January 8.
The traffic promises to be varied with something 80 stands reserved distributed for some over the two days. A stand run by the Lions club offers coffee, hot chocolate and other delicacies.

Christmas market on the Quays of Anille on Saturday 3 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 4 December from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Circuit of illuminated and animated shop windows starting from the ice rink, lit all day only during the market and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. until January 8.
