Early on Saturday morning, November 26th, 2022, a car stolen in Herford burned out in the Hanover list. Unknown people probably set the vehicle on fire around 4:20 a.m. on the street “Im Kreuzkampe”. The police are looking for witnesses.
According to the findings of the Central Criminal Police Service in Hanover, the gray Ford S-MAX with a Herford number plate was parked on the side of the road in the street “Im Kreuzkampe”. At around 4:30 a.m., a 38-year-old resident reported that the car was already on fire. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the Ford, but the Ford was totaled and the cars parked directly in front of and behind it were heavily damaged Residential building affected by the fire. The fire caused an estimated property damage of around 40,000 euros.
Initial investigations revealed that the affected Ford S-MAX was stolen in Herford about four weeks ago and set on fire here. The officers then secured the vehicle and are now investigating intentional arson.
