Opening of a digital museum at Les Izards in Toulouse
A digital museum of the Micro-folie device, with HD screens, tablets and augmented reality vision helmets, has opened its doors in the North of Toulouse. It allows you to discover works from the Musée d’Orsay, the Château de Versailles, or even the Cité de la Musique.
Announced earlier this year, the Micro-folie digital museum has opened its doors Tuesday, November 29 at the Renan neighborhood cultural center in Les Izards in the north of Toulouse.
Major museums accessible thanks to digital technology
In this new kind of museum, the municipality announces that visitors will be able to discover the works of twelve major structures and national museums “thanks to a high-definition screen, digital tablets and augmented reality vision headsets”.
The Pompidou Center, the Palace of Versailles, the Orsay Museumthe Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac museum, or the Cité de la Musique-Philharmonie de Paris are some of the establishments whose works can be seen in this new digital museum.
Promote access to all forms of art
“Innovative and interactive device, the Micro-folie makes it possible to discover various art forms in high definition in fields as varied as the fine arts, architecture, scientific culture, but also the most famous operas and ballets! “, informs the Town hall of Toulouse.
