During the weekend, residents will be able to ride a historic tram
During the weekend of December 3-4, Varsovians and tourists visiting the capital will be able to ride historic trams. The carriages marked with the letter “M” connect Wola with Śródmieście and Praga Północ, the capital city hall announced on Friday.
Historical buses will run on Saturday and Sunday from 13-19 on the route: Koło – Obozowa – Młynarska – al. “Solidarity” – the most Śląsko-Dąbrowskiego – Targowa – Kijowska – Dw. Wschodnia (Kiejowska).
“The line served K type cars from the 1940s, N generation models from the 1950s and one 13N high-speed car from the 1960s. The departure times of the M line tram schedules can be checked on the WTP website in the travel guide” – the town hall’s statement.
All types of ZTM tickets are available in historic carriages. They will be canceled by conductors – members of the Public Transport Enthusiasts Club. “On single transfer and temporary tickets, conductors will stamp an effective stamp with an annotation about the date and time of validity of the ticket. The journey on the basis of a valid short- or long-term ticket will be possible after its prior removal (activation of the card) in another public transport vehicle or at the metro gate” – they said officers.
Once again, historic vehicles will be available for rides on December 26. On the second day of Christmas, the M railway line will run on the same route, from 12-18.
