Shotgun shooter Lipták rules the Brno athletes again
As in the combined survey for the years 2020 and 2021, Jiří Lipták was ranked first in the announcement of the best athletes of the city of Brno for this year. At the end of August in Larnaca, Cyprus, the shot shooter of Brno Kometa won the European Championship in the trap discipline and ensured the Czech Republic a place at the Olympics in Paris 2024.

Climber Adam Ondra finished second in the voting of the Brno Sports Academy, and third place was taken by shot shooter Jakub Tomeček. The UFC mixed martial arts MMA champion Jiří Procházka from Jetsaam Gym Brno was fourth.
The best sports team of the city of Brno for the year 2022 became the shooters of Komety Brno, and the track cyclists of Brno’s Dukla reigned supreme among the youth. The winner among athletes under the age of twenty is Komety hockey player Eduard Šalé, who overtook the junior world champion in track cycling Matěj Hytych from Dukla Brno.

Shotgun shooter Bronislav Bechyňský – in memoriam, ultramarathoner Tomáš Rusek and ice hockey player Karel Skopal were inducted into the Hall of Fame of the city of Brno. Former volleyball player and now recognized coach Miroslav Čada received the Fair Play Award, Petr Kment won the Lv Vašiček Journalism Award.
The best sporting event was declared the extra-league match of the hockey Kometa, the award among veteran athletes over 50 was awarded by the expert jury to swimmer František Pokorný. Among the disabled athletes, she appreciated the cyclist Ivo Koblasa from Favorit Brno, the swimmer Dominika Míčková from the Kontakt Brno club and the table tennis player Boris Trávníček from Moravia Brno.
