The municipal district led by the coalition TOP 09 and STAN, Pirátů, Prahy 3 Sobě and Zelených, the parties signed a coalition agreement before the meeting of representatives. They have 19 votes in the 35-member council. The representatives also elected other members of the nine-member council yesterday.

Robert Pecka (TOP 09) will be the vacant chairman of the Committee for Property and Privatization, and the position of vacant chairman of the Control Committee will also be created for opposition work.
A coalition of similar composition led the town hall for the past four years. According to Vronský, friendly and open communication, the development of the Žižkov Freight Station area, the setting of a sustainable municipal budget with regard to rising prices, effective property management and ensuring the development of Prague 3 in the longer term are essential for the Staronova coalition, according to Vronský.
Investments in public space are also a priority, for example, the town hall wants to focus on planting rows of trees in the streets of Prague 3, or the availability of health services. Attention should also be paid to the construction of solar power plants on municipal buildings. “Affordable housing and a high-quality network of school facilities remain the priorities,” said Pavel Trojan, a spokesperson for the town hall.
“I and all councilors perceive the work of the mayor and the council as a service to Prague 3 and its residents. I would like our work to contribute to the greater satisfaction of all of us and thus to art the division of society that we are experiencing,” said Mayor Vronský.
Opposition representative Mojmír Mikuláš (Patrioti pro Praha 3) called it unfortunate that the opposition did not receive the coalition’s program statement in advance, and unsuccessfully intervened to suspend the meeting for a week so that the opposition would have time to study it.
The September elections in Prague 3 were won by the TOP 09 and STAN coalition with the support of the Žižkov sebe grouping. The coalition won 11 mandates. The Second Coalition for Prague 3 (ODS, KDU-ČSL with the support of Soukromník, KAN, the Czech Crown and the Conservative Party) has six mandates.
