Palasport, work in progress. New lights and new correctives for temperatures. Meccani’s comment
SIENA – The Vice President and General Manager of Emma Villas Aubay Siena Fabio Meccani (video) intervenes on one of the themes of the moment, the PalaEstra and its structural problems.
“Work on the lights and dismantling of the scoreboard… They have finally begun, they had been planned for several months, from the next home match against Monza we will have LED lighting, then there will be the dismantling of the scoreboard. However, we know that under everyone’s attention is the heating system, a system from the 70s. The thing we want to clarify is that we are tenants, we have been paying the rent for several years, every month constantly. The heating is always on here, it’s not a problem related to non-payment of bills – as has also been heard – or to the failure to turn on the power by the companies that manage the building”. “Sunday the heating system was turned on at 7 in the morning until 10.30pm. The problem is that this is a system that doesn’t have adequate thermal management. We’re angry too, but we can’t point the finger at the managers. If it’s cold outside, the system can’t heat up…” .
“Sunday with the doors open for access to fans has lowered the temperature. We will look for corrective measures where possible, we also ask the League to be able to bring the 8.30 pm matches forward to more suitable times. However, we wanted to clarify that the company pays what needs to be paid, the bills are all paid and the managing body is making an effort to keep the heating on as much as possible”.
“I hope that the next works, after lighting, will be dedicated to heating”.
