Hotel Munich becomes the original location for crime thrillers
Which hotel in Munich would go well with a crime thriller? With a leading role in an exciting crime novel, the traditional Platzl Hotel is now living up to its reputation as a Munich hotel institution in literary terms. Author Sabine Vöhringer lets central parts of the plot take place in real places in and around the Platzl Hotel in her latest book “The Fairy Tale King” – the fourth volume of her crime series. But will Chief Inspector Tom Perlinger become the new cult figure?

The protagonist is Chief Inspector Tom Perlinger needs a hotel and finds accommodation in the four-star superior hotel in Munich’s old town. That too Restaurant Pfistermühle at the Platzl Hotel and that Wirtshaus Ayinger am Platzl are locations of the story, in which there are two corpses, many riddles and direct parallels to the still unexplained death of the “real” Fairy Tale King Ludwig II are.

Chief Inspector Perlinger has often investigated in Munich. ‘The Fairy Tale King’ is the author’s fourth book with Perlinger. His cases repeatedly lead him to scenes in Munich.
