In his opening speech, Jean Castellini highlighted the investment strategy of the Constitutional Reserve Fund (FRC) in the field of energy transition, and the joint initiative with the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) which resulted in the creation of the Monegasque Association for Sustainable Finance (AMFID).
The Advisor also mentioned the importance of financial and technological innovation in this transition, but also the role of entities such as MonacoTech or the Monegasque Innovation, Impact and Acceleration Fund (F2IAM) so that the economy local becomes more and more “sustainable” (creation of businesses, jobs, facilitation of maintaining innovation in the Principality, etc.).
Lionel Galfré, Director of the MonacoTech incubator, presented two startups that he hosts: “Oghji”, which aims to create digital, connected and eco-responsible electrical panels, and “Onyx”, which produces photovoltaic glasses, in particular installed on the roofs of the Florestine villa.
Finally, the other speakers, including the Mission for Energy Transition (MTE) and the Monegasque Electricity and Gas Company (SMEG), discussed the actions of the green fund to ensure energy efficiency and the deployment of sustainable solutions in the industry, such as thalassothermal loops.
