Christmas World, the largest Christmas village in Europe in Rome – Tempo Libero
Like the London Winter Wonderland, the Christmas World Villa Borghese is installed in Hyde Park, in the heart of Rome, a stone’s throw from Via Veneto, from 3 December to 8 January. With its over 30,000 square meters – more than double the last edition – including scenographic installations, markets, games, shows and photo opportunities set in different countries of the world, Christmas World becomes the largest Christmas village in Europe.
A large 1,500 square meter stage will host the incredible performances of over 700 artists. Among the many novelties of this year, the scenario of the fascinating city of Tokyo enters.
And again Holiday Street, an entire street characterized by a succession of scenic boxes inside which there are Pop-style settings, linked to the theme of the Christmas holidays, where you can enjoy a snap for social media. The Safari area is a luminous zoo inhabited by animals made with the skilful technique of Zigong lanterns, in which all children, thanks to costumes and props to wear, will experience an adventure as the perfect explorer.
The doors of Christmas World open onto Paris, inhabited by can-can dancers and princesses with the melody of a string quartet in the background. In an instant you get lost in Berlin in front of the Brandenburg Gate, with fantastic dance performances, and then find yourself in London, a real stage for bands, dancers, gospel choirs, musicals and magicians.
It will then land in New York which invites adults, children, the curious and enthusiasts to twirl on the skating rink. To bring to light the Christmas memories and affection linked to Rome, which lights up with the typical attractions of Piazza Navona. The North Pole is the inevitable destination with the iconic village of Santa Claus, who will cross it in the company of his Elves aboard a little train to greet all the children present.
