“Anna talks to…”: Stefanie Millinger is too dangerous for Tiktok
World record gymnast Stefanie Millinger speaks in the podcast format “Anna speaks with” how to earn money as a handstand artist, how much mental strength she needs for her job and when she sometimes shows weakness.
SALZBURG. “My Tiktok account has been blocked,” says the Salzburg handstand artist Stefanie Millinger casually in the podcast conversation on “Anna speaks with…”. Her content was simply too dangerous for the social media platform, so she was temporarily blocked. Not surprising when you take a closer look at Millinger’s day-to-day work as a handstand artist.
“Calculated Risk”
Shooting on windmills, ladders to the sky and simply everything that is high without being secured is part of everyday work for Stefanie Millinger. “The higher, the cooler it is for me,” she says. For outsiders, her pictures look life-threatening, but for her it’s a “calculated risk”. Driving feels more dangerous to Millinger.
In the past, the handstand artist always wished to win an Olympic medal. After that was not possible with her sport, the plan changed: from now on she wanted to break records. She’s already done it ten times, she’s done the “Swiss handstand” a total of 406 times. What drives her: “Sport is my entire purpose in life. It’s just pure joy,” said the Salzburg native.
