Vicky and Flossie are both 26, but one of them is a cat
The story between Vicky Green and his Kitty Flossie was born way back in 1995, when an employee of the hospital Merseyside adopt this stray kitten who lives together with others in a colony. 10 years later its owners unfortunately die and Flossie goes to live with the sister of one of these. 14 years of cuddles and purrs, until his sister unfortunately passes away. Once again the problem of being homeless and without a mate arises for the cat.
It is at this point that Vicky Greenentered the life of Flossie. Vicky, who at the time had 24 yearsdecided to adopt the baby, despite the his venerable age, not thinking that even the new hairy companion would have become famous precisely for her longevity. “I’ve always wanted to give senior cats a comfortable life – Vicki told on the Guinness World Records website – My previous cat, honeybunhe lived for 21 years”. Flossie is described by her owner as like “An extraordinary, affectionate cat And particularly sweet“. Unfortunately, due to some health problems, she has now been entrusted to the volunteers of Cats Protection’s Tunbridge Wells.
For the record, the oldest cat record remains that of cream puff pastry, world’s oldest feline has so far resisted: born on August 3, 1967 in Texas and died on August 6, 2005 at the ripe old age of 38 years and 3 days.
