It is now certain: the Grande Boucle will stop here in 2024, within a month the official announcement. The organizing committee for the big event is born, the Titano will be an ally of the Riviera
From the Arch of Augustus to the Arc de Triomphe. The announcement is very close: question of days, weeks. By Christmas, the organizers of the Tour de France will formalize the 2024 route, but now there are no more doubts: the Grande Boucle will start from Italy. And the first stage, which will take place on 29 June 2024, will be from Florence to Rimini. Until the moment of the announcement, the mouths, by the Emilia Romagna Region and the mayors of Rimini, Florence and all the other cities that will be crossed by the Tour, will remain unsewn. It’s understandable: one too many words down to the last could cost a lot, and nobody wants to jeopardize the general agreement already reached with Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour de France. But now the deal is done. It remains to be understood what the stages will be, in addition to the initial one from Florence to Rimini, practically already confirmed. Compared to the initial plans, the other stages could undergo some route changes. The second should be the one from Cesenatico to Bologna passing through the Forlì area, more difficult than the third stage being the Modena-Piacenza as initially planned (…)
