GENOA – A greener and increasingly welcoming Genoa is possible: to say it is the city councilor for Urban Decorum Mauro Advenentwhich tells the green plan of the Ligurian capital, already at the top in Italy for urban green.
The first project concerns the area straddling the Valpolcevera and Scarpinowhere “there is a replanting project concerning the planting of 30 thousand plants – says the councilor -, with a 5-year guarantee that in case any of these should dry out or get sick, they would be replanted”. The forestry police will take care of the operation.
Another important intervention is the one concerning “the urban forest that will be created in the Eastern Waterfront areawhere many plants will be planted” explains Avvenente, who then recounts the desire to “enhance the monumental and historic villas of our area”: from Villa Imperiale to Villa Rossi, passing through Doria, Pallavicini and the Duchess of Galliera, “which has the largest territorial extension of all Liguria, surpassing Villa Emboli. The attention is there, we have allocated the resources. We are working to make Genoa more and more welcoming“. Not only for citizens but also for tourists: “If we want them to come to our city, the quality of the greenery is very important – concludes Avvenente -, we are very busy and we will work on it from now to the next few months”.
