CONI Siena celebrated the excellence of sport
Last Friday, in the Auditorium of the University of Siena Santa Chiara Lab, the CONI Siena Merit Ceremony was celebrated as part of the Siena Sport Day 2nd edition, in collaboration with the Siena Autonomous Press Group.
Together with the President of the Tuscan Regional CONI Simone Cardullo, Paolo Ridolfi, CONI Siena Delegate, awarded the Stars for Sports Merit 2020, of which gold to Ruggero D’Argenio (Fencing), silver to Alberto Alberti (Athletics and Orienteering ), Tiziano Faraoni (Archery) and Antonio Saccone (President Mens sana Siena 1871) and the Bronze to Stefano Bianchi (Basketball), Massimo Dreassi (Shooting) and Roberto Tarquini (Motorcycling).

There was a moment of emotion for the 1st prize “Roberto Montermini” which went to the Coast to Costa Project, a project conceived by some Sienese volunteers together with Communautè-Abel, the non-profit Abele Group with the collaboration of the Corte dei Miracoli Siena and set up during 2022 in Grand Bassam, in the Ivory Coast , with the technical support of the Mens Sana Basketball Academy Siena, a club in which, in the past, Roberto Montermini had been a top-level player.
