Hanover. The Klein Buchholz shopping park on Adolf-Emmelmann-Straße can again be reached without restrictions. Since February, the utility Enercity has laid 1.5 kilometers of district heating lines in Bothfeld, which has led to construction sites and traffic disruptions. These had also affected the shopping park and the access to the numerous shops. From Wednesday, November 30th, the entrances to Adolf-Emmelmann-Strasse will be free again. Retailers in particular are welcome to this message.

Beware of new major construction sites
“However, we are looking with great concern at the forthcoming construction site for the Sutelstraße tramway in 2025,” said Jens-Michael Emmelmann, owner of the shopping center. “We are already pointing out that there must be no significant restrictions on our accessibility.” After the construction of the elevated train platform at the corner of Sutelstraße and Ebelingstraße and the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, there was a significant drop in sales.
For the expansion of the district heating network, construction work and restrictions had taken place throughout the year in addition to Adolf-Emmelmann-Strasse and other streets in the district. According to Enercity, the work should be completed by mid-December.
