Traffic chaos: Traffic jam on the A1 near Salzburg Mitte due to a traffic accident
Due to a traffic accident on the way to Salzburg Messe in the direction of Vienna, there were several kilometers of traffic jams on the A1 near Salzburg. According to Asfinag, it was a rear-end collision with a van. This has now been towed. Nobody got hurt.

Now a huge traffic jam near Salzburg Mitte, which stretched several kilometers both on the motorway and in the city center. After the vehicle was towed half an hour ago, the traffic jam has now cleared.

According to information from Asfinag, the rear-end collision was expected shortly after leaving the trade fair. There was a rear-end collision with a pickup truck. Its axis was torn out. Luckily nobody was injured in the accident. According to Asfinag, the vehicle has already been towed away. The police are on site.
Traffic chaos in Salzburg
With several kilometers of traffic jams, drivers on the A1 had to put up with the last two hours, both on the motorway and coming from Salzburg Messe, Salzburg Mitte and Freilassing. According to Asfinag, there is a particularly heavy traffic contingent on Salzburg’s streets today. The obvious reason for this is today’s train strike in Salzburg. The traffic jam near Salzburg Mitte has now cleared up again.
