The Weeknd announces two concerts in Madrid and Barcelona in July 2023
The Weeknd has announced this Monday that he will offer two concerts in Spain as part of his After hours tour until sunrise next July, specifically on July 18 at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid and on July 20 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona.
On this tour, which concluded its first leg yesterday after touring the United States and Canada for four months, the Canadian artist will perform not only the songs from his latest studio album Sunrise FMpublished in January 2022but also those of his great success After hours.
As explained by the promoter Live Nation in a statement, the North American leg of the stadium tour, with all tickets sold out, “has been an incredible success, breaking attendance records and raising more than 130 million dollars to date.”

Among the songs that The Weeknd will perform in this new part of the tour will be the success blinding lightswhich spent 47 weeks in the top ten in the US and was the most broadcast in Spain in 2020according to Promusicae.
It will be on June 10 in Manchester (United Kingdom), at the Etihad Stadium, where this new stage of the tour will begin, which will have stops in Europe and Latin America and will end in Santiago de Chile on October 15. Kaytranada and Mike Dean will join The Weeknd on all European dates and, in addition, the promoter has already advanced that more dates will be announced soon for 2023.
The announcement of this tour comes after the cancellation of another that should have been held this year in closed spaces such as the Wizink Center in Madrid and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.
As specified by Live Nation, tickets for their new shows in Spain will be available starting this Friday, December 2, at 12:00. In addition, there will be a prevention in the previous 24 hours for all those people who purchased tickets for the tour that did not take place in 2022.
One euro from every ticket sold in Europe, one pound in the UK and the equivalent of one dollar in Latin American countries will go to the United Nations World Food Programme’s XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organization’s response to The world hunger crisis.
