The Metro Theater presented a new comedy | PRAGUE | News
I’m going to be gay for Christmas. That’s the name of the spicy comedy, which is a new addition to the repertoire of the Metro Theatre. In the main roles, the audience can look forward to Filip Blažek and Martin Zounar.
“It’s an Italian contemporary comedy that plays basically all over the world, but at the same time of course in Italy in many places. It’s written by a very popular Italian actor, author and musician. I have to say that it’s written very hard about what a person is able to do for money,” said Martin Zounar, an actor.
The entire plot is full of grotesque scenes that result in a very surprising and unexpected conclusion. How to acquire a thriving pizzeria chain and secure a great future? All it takes is to become gay for Christmas.
“At first we were afraid of it, but mostly because of the bad language, but otherwise I think we don’t make fun of it. It’s just a game and hopefully it will be fun and in the situations we play, it won’t be obscene,” said Filip Blazek, actor.
“Filip said the other day that he saw it in practice, that a person is capable of doing anything to be the director of a company,” said Martin Zounar, an actor.
“Right here, what we try and play with will really resonate like crazy these days,” said Filip Blažek, an actor.
“It comes to an end quickly and I think the end is very good,” said Martin Zounar, the actor.
The play I will be gay for Christmas is always on the Metro Theater program once a month. Current performance dates can be found on the theatre’s website.
