Talking about the title fight
Another factor the royal house expert believes contributes to the prince not returning to Denmark is that he has had little royal upbringing in recent years.

Title dispute
From 1 January next year, Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena will therefore lose the prince and princess titles. When it became known that the titles were to be forfeited, it was made clear that it was Queen Margrethe who stood behind.
In a press release from the Danish royal house, it was stated that the new titles will be count and countess of Monpezat.
– Worthless and mediocre
According to the press release, the Danish queen made the decision based on the trends seen in other royal houses. Furthermore, the title decision must have been a natural extension of the previous changes, which started in 2008.
– In April 2008, Her Majesty the Queen awarded her sons, their spouses and their descendants the titles of Count, Countess and Countess of Monpezat, the press release stated.
The press release also indicated that the decision was due to Queen Margrethe wanting to give the grandchildren the freedom to make their own decisions in life – which should not be governed by royal obligations.
It came as expected and share reactions to the decision. The family of Prince Joachim must have informed about the news just a short time before it became known publicly.
