Marketplace for educational information was stormed
“For us as BIM initiators, the excellent result is confirmation that intensive educational information is necessary and that people accept it accordingly,” says WKS President KommR Peter Buchmüller. “Although the online version of ‘BIM’, the ‘BerufsInfo-Welt’, was well received during the Corona period, there is no substitute for a live trade fair!” Buchmüller continues.
According to Buchmüller, the reason for the success of the trade fair can be attributed to the special commitment of the more than 200 exhibitors from Austria and Bavaria: “On the one hand, the stands are made even more attractive every year, on the other hand, practical demonstrations and presentations are used with enormous commitment to provide information, afterwards it depends on the respective professions or educational opportunities.” This practical and vivid knowledge transfer was supplemented by the new “Just try it out!” trial stations and guided career tours, which were very well received by the trade fair visitors.
One of the highlights of the Heurigen “BIM” was the simultaneous holding of seven competitions of the “WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition Austria”. In the “WorldSkills competition halls”, visitors had the opportunity to look over the shoulders of future potential world champions in their professions.
Exhibitors are also satisfied with the trade fair
A lot of satisfied feedback also came from the ranks of the 217 exhibitors:
“We were very pleased that after such a long Corona break, BIM was able to take place again and that we as a company were able to bring our apprenticeships closer to the young people. The honest interest among the motivated students and the good organization of the fair were particularly pleasing. We are already looking forward to being able to take part again next year,” says Johanna Steingress, product manager and apprentice trainer at Salzburg Milch.
“The BIM was more than successful for us as hak:zwei Salzburg. We are overwhelmed by the great demand for our school types and training opportunities. As a school, we are happy to finally be able to actively exchange ideas with students and parents again. The record number of visitors shows that the careers information fair is a great help for the many visitors when looking for a school or an apprenticeship. We are already looking forward to the BIM 2023″, says Oliver Andorfer from the hak:zwei Salzburg.
The date for next year’s “BIM” has already been set: November 23 to 26, 2023.
The “BIM” is a joint event of the Chamber of Commerce, the state and AMS Salzburg, the EuRegio Salzburg – Berchtesgadener Land – Traunstein, the Berchtesgadener Land district and the Bavarian employers M+E.
