Emma Villas Aubay Siena will be busy in Verona on Sunday: the match starts at 20.30
Emma Villas Aubay Siena will resume training tomorrow in view of the next championship match. The tenth day of the Superlega championship has come (but the Sienese have to make up for two matches, in Padua and Civitanova Marche) and on Sunday 4 December, again at 8.30 pm, coach Paolo Montagnani’s team will be busy in Verona.
It will be the first of the six races that the Sienese team will play in a real tour de force that will take place in December. On Thursday 8th another away match is scheduled for Emma Villas Aubay who will play in Padua at 5pm, live on RaiSport.
The Tuscans will return to the PalaEstra on Sunday 11 December when they will face Monza at 3.30pm.
The intense December will continue on Sunday 18 December with another home match: the match against Trento will get underway at 8.30 pm at the PalaEstra.
Trento and then Civitanova Marche and Perugia: in a few days the Sienese will challenge three of the strongest teams in Italy. Indeed, on Wednesday 21 December, Siena will go to Civitanova Marche to recover the match at the Eurosuole Forum against the Italian champions Lube: the match starts at 20.30.
The intense month of December will end on Boxing Day: on December 26 Siena will be at the PalaBarton to play (from 6 pm) against Sir Safety Susa Perugia.
The Sienese are immediately called upon to win useful points for the fight for salvation. Yesterday at PalaEstra it was Taranto who celebrated after the victory by three sets to one. Federico Bonami, the free thrower from Emma Villas Aubay Siena, spoke of the match: “We feel regret and disappointment for not being able to score points in a save match – is his comment. – We were also partly aggressive, but not quite as cynical as these receipts require. In the second set we showed a good game, however during the match some things didn’t go in the best way. We will need work during the week to grow, Taranto even outnumbered us”.
