Doležal’s quartet will welcome pianist Stanislav Khristenko in Prague today
The concert in the Martinů Hall in the Liechtenstein Palace from 19:30 will take place as part of the Qu@rtet+ festival.
The Dolezal Quartet belongs to the ensembles of our chamber tradition. During this year, 2022, it celebrated 50 years since its establishment, and in the course of time, a number of excellent artists have already passed through. They received the award twice of the Czech Society for Chamber Music. They currently play in the composition Vaclav Dvořák AND Jan Zrostlik (House), Martin Adamovic (viola) a Vojtěch Urban (violoncello). Last year they founded a chamber music festival Qu@rtet+which brings together Doležal’s quartet with leading domestic and foreign performers on the grounds of Prague.
Today, in Monday, November 28 from 7:30 p.m. in Martinů Hall at HAMUa Ukrainian-American pianist will be the guest of the Doležal Quartet Stanislav Khristenko. A native of Kharkiv, currently living in Washington, is an award-winning performer who will make his debut in the prestigious Carnegie Hall against New York.
The program of the concert will offer Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34 Johannes Brahms and then exclusively Czech authors: Amoroso for piano Vítězslav NovákWITHdishwasher quartet no. 2 “Confidential letters” Leoš Janáček and also the song Ivan Kurz – String Quartet No. 4 – “To Adam”, a composition written directly for Doležal’s quartet. The special guest of the evening will also be a pianist Martin Kasikwhich will invite the visitor to the next edition of the Qu@rtet+ festival.
