It’s a strong measure price by the emergency department of the CHU Dijon Burgundy and of Dijon Burgundy Private Hospital (Valmy).
Starting from Monday, November 28, 2022a regulation of access to the emergency department of these two hospitals will be deployed 5 p.m. to 7 a.m., 7 days a week.
Objective: to limit the influx of patients and relieve the nursing staff.
Focus on life-threatening patients
This decision is made in consultation with ARS Burgundy-Franche-Comté and theDijon Bourgogne private hospital.
“It constitutes a territorial response adapted to the current situation of tensions that healthcare institutions experience in terms of human resources and influx of patients”, indicates in a press release the CHU of Dijon.
It allows professionals in healthcare establishments to focus on life-threatening patients.
For indication, in 2020, 74,923 patients were taken to the emergency room of the Dijon University Hospital, i.e. nearly 205 per day noted France 3 Burgundy-Franche-Comte.
It’s an emergency, I call 15:
A systematic regulation will be provided by center 15 to access emergencies, as part of appropriate care.
That implies the obligation to contact the center 15 before any trip.
The patient will talk to a doctor. If necessary, he will then be referred to the emergency room or to another health professional depending on his situation.
It’s not urgent, I call my doctor:
Any person arriving spontaneously on site for non-vital emergencies may be redirected to another solution consultation (liberal doctors, on-call medical center, health centre, etc.)
