Christmas market on the Main Square
From November 25, on the main page of the main active Christmas market, which will normally put residents and tourists in the festive mood. The organizers made sure that the fair continues to be a showcase of the city and a meeting place for visitors to the capital of Lesser Poland. The event, which is among the most interesting red Christmas markets attended this year, is encouraged by “The Times”.

What will this year’s fair be like?
– The fair will be exactly on the Krakow Market Square, this time from the side of the town hall tower, providing for the first time a new product and a stand referring in color and style to the value of their urban landscape. We are grateful to the organizers for their cooperation in the process of aesthetic and qualitative transformation of this event, which has been building the brand of our city for years and is one of the biggest attractions of winter Krakow. The fair is increasingly emphasizing ecological themes, eliminating plastic decorative elements or cutlery, and then fir trees are used to decorate them, and then they serve as bedding in the Krakow zoo – says Robert Piaskowski, member of the Krakow board for culture.
Fairs, formerly fairs, have been held on the Krakow market for a century. To the tradition that has an impact on the cultural and economic development of Krakow, and the fair itself has become a festive showcase of the city in the world. The organizers provide 4 free fair stands, intended for friendly cities and charitable institutions. This year’s products are presented by such charitable institutions as m.in. Polish Association of the Deaf, Catholic Association of People with Disabilities and their Friends “Klika”, We Bet on Paws, Social Welfare Association GAUDIUM ET SPES Occupational Therapy Workshops, Association for Integration and Professional and Social Activation of People Nie “EMAUS”, Foundation Man for Animals, Foundation We are People , Beskid Hospice Foundation, Children’s Foundation “Kolorowy Most”, Foundation We Change Impossible. The friendly cities that this year will present themselves on the Main Market Square in Krakow are Kyiv and Lviv.
– The Christmas Fair must be a meeting place for guests visiting Krakow with its energy, urban character, customs and colors. Introduce these elements with the Krakow Merchants’ Congregation and ARTIM to ensure that this event is included in the list of Christmas markets recommended in guides and travel agents’ recommendations. In the place of the fair, a wooden nativity scene was set up, made by a sculptor and folk artist, Józef Lasik from Stryszawa. Christmas decorations on the streets of Krakow
Just like during the holidays of the year, the city will be decorated with illumination referring to the Wawel tapestries. Decorations are already installed in the streets and squares, so that they are old for the day of the ceremonial illumination of the 15-meter Christmas tree on the Main Market Square – Saturday, December 3.
