A69 motorway between Toulouse and Castres: start of the public inquiry
This is the last stage to pass for the motorway between Castres and Toulouse. The environmental public inquiry into the A69 project will start on November 28 and will last until January 11. It is at the end that the prefect of Tarn and the prefect of Haute-Garonne and the Occitanie region will give (or not) the green light, via a decree, for the launch of the work planned for the beginning of next year. Then the commissioning of this A69 is scheduled for autumn 2025.
Completeness of the file
This public inquiry concerns both that of the A69 between Castres and Verfeil, but also the widening of the section between Verfeil and the A68 which depends on ASF. From 28 November therefore, the entire file will be available in all the town halls of Tarn and Haute-Garonne concerned as well as in the sub-prefecture of Castres. The file will also be available for consultation on the websites of the Tarn and Haute-Garonne prefectures. Everyone can give their opinion and make observations concerning this application for environmental authorization on the registers available in the town halls or on the Internet

Seven investigating commissioners
The seven investigating commissioners appointed to conduct this public inquiry will be on duty several times at Soual, Puylaurens, Cuq-Toulza, Verfeil, Castelmaurou and the sub-prefecture of Castres. The seven investigators who will have to report the conclusions sent with the registers to the prefects within 30 days after January 11.
The list of investigating commissioners was unveiled by the prefecture. They will be there to receive the public.

The collective La Voie est Libre (citizen collective mobilized against the A69 Castres-Toulouse project and for a responsible alternative) denounces the choice of the investigating commissioners. which was based on a vision “old-fashioned” of the society. “Without questioning the professionalism of those who make up the commission of inquiry, appoint seven men over 60 to bring the public debate to life to propose a project that would have a lasting impact on the environment and the future of the territory. “ says the collective.
