EC Red Bull Salzburg haven’t scored a goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League for 130 minutes and 15 seconds. Since Salzburg joined the league (2004), the seven-time champion has failed to score four times in two consecutive games. The Red Bulls had the longest period without a goal in their debut season, when they had to wait 184 minutes and 31 seconds for a goal.

EC Red Bull Salzburg is one of the absolute top teams again this season. With an average of 2.05 points per match, they conquer the second most points on average after table leaders Innsbruck. Salzburg know how to impress on the defensive in particular and concede just over two goals per game on average – more than just any other team. On the offensive, however, the Salzburg motor started to stutter in the last few laps.

No goal for only the fifth time in two consecutive games
In two league games in a row (Vienna and Graz), EC Red Bull Salzburg didn’t score a single goal – this has only happened to Salzburg four times since joining the league. After Mario Huber’s 6-1 on November 18, 2022, the Red Bulls have now been waiting for the next goal for 130 minutes and 15 seconds. Salzburg have not scored a goal away from home for 180 minutes and 47 seconds.

Longest goal suspension in the debut season
EC Red Bull Salzburg had the longest “waiting time” for a goal in its debut season. In December 2004, the then league newcomer went 184 minutes and 31 seconds – or eight full thirds – without a goal. At that time, the Finn Jaako Niskavaara provided salvation.
