Debrecen – Another win with a groan, but the main thing is the three points.

The host DEAC came back from a deficit and was defeated 5-3 by the host Fehérvár Hockey Academy on Sunday’s game day of the Erste Liga.

There were many injured on both sides, and a number of regular players were missing. In the 7th minute, DEAC took the lead with a man advantage, András Mihalik shot the puck in front of the goal, and Oleg Sozunov reached in, so Balázs Tóth could not save. Later, they unexpectedly equalized through Péter Szabó.

At the beginning of the second period, the home defense fell asleep, Ugnius Cizas remained completely empty in front of the goal and calmly lifted Lajos Gönczi over the right shoulder into the net. Debrecen recovered from two man deficits, but did not have the opportunity to equalize at that time.

The final period started with a DEAC man advantage, and when FEHA was added, they scored a goal. After the throw-in in the attacking third, Mihalik A. passed to Jan Dalecky, who made no mistake from close range. In the 48th minute, Jakub Izacky single-handedly skated past the entire Fehérvár defense and turned the ball over Tóth’s mind. Seven and a half minutes before the end, Mihalik missed a penalty and shot the puck wide at the end of his drive. However, after 24 minutes, the difference increased, Mark Smirnov received a good pass at the back of the goal, and Tóth’s mammoth lifted the puck in.

Fehérvár gained a man advantage in the first half, of which Antons Trastasenkovs made the score 1:51 minutes before the end. The game ended with an empty net goal by Izacky.
