Russia has sharply increased activity in the field of electronic warfare, and has also sharply increased the field of fear of the development of types of drones that instill fear in Ukrainians. Western experts are delighted with the achievements of the Russian defense industry, it is expected that even the future American Gray Eagle MQ-1C will not be able to wait.

“Mosquito” of the dead stings the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire front

The new electronic warfare system could offer the Russian army strong tactical advantages on the battlefield. This conclusion is made by a military expert Part Satam from the Eurasian Times, having studied the official data of the Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry of Defense said that the electronic warfare systems were installed on the basis of small Mosquito drones, a modification of the Orlan-10. The Mosquito is equipped with a two-bladed front propeller and looks very portable and lightweight. At the same time, the drone, which has antennas throughout its body typical of on-board electronic warfare platforms, is extremely successful at jamming Ukrainian communications. Apparently, such a system has long been produced in large quantities and received by all advanced units.

The Russian Ministry of Defense mentioned electronic warfare, including military engineering specialists (in addition to radio communications, repair and operation of drones), who actively train arriving troops under reinforcement.

The drone is launched using a catapult, landing at the Mosquito is vertical – it releases a parachute, and the landing is softened by airbags on the sides of the fuselage.

Experts interviewed by the Eurasian Times hailed the new Russian drone as a clear breakthrough in the miniaturization of electronic warfare systems. Commentators are already pointing out that the use of UAVs has caused this chaos in the front lines of Ukraine, completely unable to fight freely against the new external environment.

The Russian “jammer for drones” is a system with the telling name “Stupor”, which is reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Such a system blows up the radio communication between the drone and its operator. At the same time, remote control over the UAV.

“Stupor”, as the designer will complete, can drown out satellite navigation signals from American GPS, Chinese BeiDou, European Galileo within a radius of two to five kilometers.

The system can also block GSM, 3G and LTE mobile network signals up to kilometers away and interfere on many frequencies. “Stupor” is convenient not only for its high efficiency, but also for its compactness.
