Actor Marius Manole wants to become a citizen of the Republic of Moldova. “I was envious of my colleagues from Bessarabia for having this luck”
The Romanian actor Marius Manole met with the president Maia Sandu, who was present at the show “I am the wind”, played at the Alexei Mateevici Theater in Chisinau, and announced that he will submit the application to obtain the citizenship of the neighboring state.
Marius Manole detailed, on his Facebook account, the context of the decision to become a Moldovan citizen.
“Today, joy. Show in Chisinau. 2 performances of “I am the wind” at the wonderful Alexei Mateevici Theatre. The joy of meeting the audience here again, a warm audience eager to see theatre.
But the joy of the day was even greater when, in the hall of only 60 seats, a lady entered and sat down discreetly somewhere in row 2. At first glance, I thought it was Mrs. President Maia Sandu. But I immediately came to my senses and realized that there was no way. Without SPP, without fuss, without making a big media event… no, there’s no way. It’s just that, what can you see, the discreet lady in row 2 was actually the president Maia Sandu, who bought her ticket. I was envious of my colleagues from Bessarabia for having this luck.
To have such a president. Tomorrow I will submit the application for citizenship, so I am happy to inform you that I am proud of my president”, wrote Marius Manole on Facebook on Saturday evening.
