Denmark played 0-0 against Tunisia in their opening game in the World Cup, and they can therefore depend on a good result against France on Saturday evening.
And France, who opened the championship with a 4-1 victory over Australia, have every reason to fear Denmark. They have met twice earlier this year in the Nations League, and Denmark emerged victorious in both.
Kasper Hjulmand makes several changes to the team from the previous game. Victor Nelsson, Jesper Lindström, Mikkel Damsgaard and Andreas Cornelius come in and play from the start, replacing Simon Kjær, Thomas Delaney, Andreas Skov Olsen and Kasper Dolberg.
How Denmark starts:
(3-4-3): Schmeichel – Andersen, Nelsson, Christensen – Kristensen, Højbjerg, Eriksen, Mæhle – Lindström, Cornelius, Damsgaard.
Didier Deschamps makes three changes in defense from the previous game. Jules Koundé comes in at right-back for Benjamin Pavard, Raphael Varane comes into central defense for Ibrahima Konate, while Theo Hernandez replaces brother Lucas Hernandez.
How to start France:
(4-2-3-1): Lloris – Koundé, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez – Tchouaméni, Rabiot – Dembelé, Griezmann, Mbappé – Giroud.
