Toulouse. A walk to experience the World Cup differently
A festive stroll is organized on Saturday November 26 as part of the alternative festival to the World Cup “Paf, For another football” in Toulouse.
The French team is playing its second group match of the World Cup in Qatar this Saturday, November 26 at 5 p.m. The Blues face Denmark after winning 4-1 against Australia last Tuesday. The meeting can be followed on TF1 and BeIN sport.
On this occasion, the alternative festival to the World Cup, “Paf, For another football”, organizes a festive stroll in Toulouse. Lhe idea is to celebrate “a popular and united football against the human, ecological, moral and financial abuses carried out by FIFA in Qatar”.
Calls for a boycott of the football festival are numerous. The Toulouse festival takes the party to approach it differently. The organizers, themselves football fans, invite fans to come with their “most beautiful football shirt”. The start of the festive stroll is scheduled at 2 p.m. on the Jules Guesde alleys in Toulouse.
For this initiative, the Paf festival, “For another football”, receives in particular the support of the group of supporters of the TFC Indians Tolosa, Amnesty International Toulouse, Alternatiba Toulouse, ANV-Cop21, the Collectif La Volte and the Café l’Astronef.
Alternative Festival and Alternative Commentary
The festivities continue at 5 p.m., during the Blues match. “We comment on the France-Denmark match at the Bistrot Les Tilleuls”, announce the organizers. “Watching the game can be fun. But frankly, the comments on TV, it is not possible! It is certain, we can make much better comments! And funny! Offbeat! Politics or not! Whispered, sung or shouted! So, we put on the TV, we mute the sound and we pass the microphone to comment! »
