Man stabbed in Amsterdam, also stabbings in The Hague and Rotterdam | inland
A man was hit in a stabbing in Amsterdam on Saturday evening. He was taken to hospital. Also in The Hague, a person was injured by a stabbing and had to be taken to hospital. Later, a man was also stabbed in Rotterdam.
The stabbing in Amsterdam took place at 7:35 p.m. at C. van Eesterenlaan in the Eastern Docklands.
The police is present at the intersection with CJK Van Aalststraat, near a shop on the island of Sporenburg. “We are investigating what exactly preceded it,” said a police spokesperson.
“In any case, there is one suspect, but more people may be involved. If people know more, then all information is welcome to us.”
A little earlier, around 6 p.m., the police in The Hague received a report of a stabbing incident. At the Fisherstraat near the Langnekstraat, officers touched an injured person. The victim is transported to hospital by air ambulance.
Police have not yet released details of the nature of the injuries. The police are looking for a suspect. Furthermore, much is still unclear about the stabbing incident in the Transvaalkwartier-South, says a statement from the police in The Hague.
Also stabbed a man in Rotterdam
Later on Saturday evening it was also a hit in Rotterdam. There, the police found a seriously injured man on the Mijnsherenlaan. The 27-year-old man was injured in a stabbing incident, police said. The victim was taken to hospital.
Witnesses stated that an argument between two people on Abcoudestraat preceded the stabbing that took place around 10 p.m.
“After the stabbing, the victim managed to walk to Mijnsherenlaan, where his injuries became too much for him,” said the police. A knife was found on the victim, which police believe was probably his. That has been confiscated.
The police also searched a house. No one has been arrested yet.
