From Saturday, a new bus line on the Łagiewnicka Route
The new bus line No. 196 on the Łagiewnicka Route in Krakow was launched on Saturdays by the Public Transport Authority. This line is permanent. The municipal company also informed about standard night courses on some routes in connection with St. Andrew’s Day.
According to the announcement of the Public Transport Authority (ZTP) in Krakow, a new bus line No. 196 was launched on Saturday. It was launched on the Łagiewnicka Route opened in August. The construction of this 3.5-kilometer artery to the south of the city, connecting Kurdwanów with Ruczaj, lasted from 2018 and the commission cost PLN 840 million.
Line No. 196 connected Łagiewniki with Skotniki. Buses run on the route “Łagiewniki” – ul. Zakopiańska, Trasa Łagiewnicka, ul. Kobierzyńska, ul. Lubostron, ul. Czerwony Maki, “Czerwone Maki P+R”, ul. Bunsch, ul. Mochnaniec – “Skotniki School”. Every other journey was extended to the “Kozienicka” stop in exchange for the operation of line 116 there.
The new bus line will run every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends. Due to the introduction of the new line change, also the route of the night line No. 608 from Czyżyny to Kliny.
On the occasion of Andrzejek, ZTP decided to increase the frequency of some bus and tram lines. Rolling stock with a display capacity will be driven for service. Temporary timetable changes on ten weekends and on subsequent days.
