Dida defends Milan substitute Tatarusanu: ‘It’s unfair to blame him’
Former Milan goalkeeper Dida defended the spare shot scorer Ciprien Tatarusanuwho was forced to replace the injured Mike Mainnan this season.
The 27-year-old French shot-stopper, who was a key part of Stefano Pioli’s Scudetto-winning side last season, was forced to the sidelines earlier this campaign with a calf injury suffered while he was on international duty. Maignan’s return has been on more loan than initially expected and he has missed the last 12 Serie A and Champions League games.
Sending himself via La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dida first spoke about Brazil’s World Cup hopes following the recent injuries suffered by Neymar and danilo.
“Brazil are a great team, but injuries Neymar and danilo worries me a bit. The team needs them, I hope they can recover. Without Neymarby the way, we play differently.
He gave his opinion on Richarlisonbut acrobatic during Brazil’s victory over Serbia.
“Magnificent, really. We are talking about a simple guy who plays a great World Cup. His goal goes down in history. In Brazil there is poverty, it is difficult for a young boy to be interested in another sport .
“They play on pitches without goals, but everyone dreams of the Seleçao. And some succeed.
He backed up Rossoneri backup goalkeeper Tatarusanu, who has been blamed by fans for his perceived inadequacies between the sticks.
“It’s unfair to think the team lost points because of him. He made a lot of saves. Maignan is strong, I hope he can come back soon, but Tata is a Milan keeper.
Finally, Dida gave his thoughts on the Serie A title race this season.
“On the weekend of May 28, they will face Juventus, and who knows if they will be decisive like twenty years ago in the Champions League.
