Calcio Excellence, Victor San Marino scores 13: beat Granamica 1-0
Victor San Marino makes “13”: new victory for the titans, the thirteenth in 16 games. Beaten Granamica 1-0 at the Acquaviva stadium (RSM) thanks to captain Ambrosini’s free-kick in the 5th minute of the second half in the match valid for the sixteenth day of the championship.
On the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, a message was broadcast from the loudspeakers of the Acquaviva Stadium, before the start of the match, to live closeness and support to all women victims of abuse, violence and prevarication, and to raise awareness all on the very serious phenomenon which, unfortunately, also sees the Republic of San Marino and Italy increasingly involved: “Violence is not fought with violence, but with culture. Sport, football, can and must be a training ground not only for the body, but for the whole person, teaching the values of respect for oneself and for others, never different, never weaker, never inferior. #I don’t hide as a woman and as a man because violence often has the face of those we know, and it’s scarier. On the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, each of us has a moral duty to give impetus, start or continue to keep that light that illuminates the conscience, the culture, in defense of women. This is why the work of those who, not only on November 25, not only on official occasions, educate souls and minds to the culture of non-violence and respect is even more precious. So the NLD and the Women’s Football Department take the field every day with this intention, to tear down walls, to practice a noble sport with great passion, truly the most beautiful in the world. Societies, athletes, all those at work and the world of sport today are ambassadors of the culture of respect and equality. The most important game today is being played on a field the size of the world: accepting life and opposing violence. Because women are nobody’s property but themselves, they are not half of any sky, they are people.
Coach Cassani’s men, first undisputed in group B of Excellence Emilia Romagna with 41 points, will take the field already next Wednesday at 20.30 to face Cattolica in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia “Memorial Maurizio Minetti”: if Victor San Marino should win at the “Giorgio Calbi” municipal stadium in Cattolica (RN) in regulation time or on penalties, he would reach the semifinals.
