The Ausl Romagna participates in the ACOSI Conference in Venice
The third ACOSI National Assembly was held on 19 and 21 November in Venice, at the Polo Culturale and Museo Scuola Granda di San Marco, which inaugurated the study days dedicated to “Historical hospitals, between beauty and care. An asset to the country”. The thirteen most beautiful and oldest hospitals in Italy came together for the occasion with the aim of deepening the knowledge of this reality through the contributions of experts and renowned scholars. During the working days, the beauty and full value of the Italian health-related heritage was revealed, showing it as a cultural resource available to the country and the community. In fact, the ancient hospitals, as places of treatment, are witnesses and guardians of the transformation of the social and health history of their territory. The intervention of the Romagna Ausl highlighted “the importance of the dialogue between the “Maggiore” Hospital and the territory expressed in this case by the former hospitals, hospitals, hospital oratories and other historic sites belonging to the Romagna Ausl”.
Today many of these structures collect their historical and artistic heritage, transforming themselves into the nucleus of the widespread “Museum” of Romagna healthcare art – “Healing Through Art”.
