Ambri – Biel 0:2
After the last 4 bankruptcies, the second in the table recorded a narrow 2-0 win in Ticino. Jesper Olofsson scored the outstanding goal in the middle third. He scored in the 34th minute after assisting Etienne Froidevaux with a wrist shot. Damien Brunner put the lid on it with his goal in the 51st minute. He pushed in after a cross pass from Mike Künzle. The match winner, however, was someone else: Goalie Harri Säteri. With 34 saves, he bewitched his team to victory. Kneubühler and Bürgler in particular despaired of the Biel goalkeeper.
Servette – SC Bern 1: 3
At the third attempt it worked for the new SCB coach Toni Söderholm with the first win. In the surprising success in Geneva, the guests in the middle third made the difference. Romain Loeffel with a solid shot from the blue line (26th) and Oscar Lindberg (32nd) lead in the middle third. Colin Gerber went one better after 45 minutes. Leader Geneva-Servette will be able to cope with the first second defeat after 60 minutes. The lead over second-placed Biel is still a reassuring 8 points.
Ajoie – Lausanne 5: 6 aet
TJ Brennan rocked the arena at Pruntrut with his equalizer with 47 seconds to go. After Ajoie gave up a 2-0 and 3-2 lead, they fought back impressively after three Lausanne goals in a row. In the 56th minute, Frédérik Gauthier converted a rebound to make it 4:5 just a few minutes after conceding the fifth goal. Brennan then sent the game into overtime with a powerful shot from the blue line. It’s still not enough for the first win since the end of October. Ajoie took the goalkeeper out of the game in extra time and was punished for the risk: Tim Bozon decided the game with an empty netter.
SCL Tigers – Kloten 2:1
For almost 50 minutes, the SCL Tigers ran up in vain. The Emmental team, who fell behind in the 2nd minute due to a shorthander by Kloten top scorer Jonathan Ang, were then allowed to repeatedly try to outnumber themselves. Despite constant pressure and three hits, the deficit remained at first. Thanks to a double strike by Sami Lepistö (48th) and Samuel Erni (49th), the Tigers were still able to celebrate their 10th win of the season.
Freiburg – Lugano 2:1
Only because of Gottéron’s surprising efficiency did this game remain exciting until the final phase. The home side had 11 more shots than Lugano, but they only managed two goals. After a goalless third, Nathan Marchon scored the first goal with a deflection in the 27th minute. Freiburg continued to power at the beginning of the final section before Marco Müller equalized Lugano out of nowhere in the 47th minute. However, Die Drachen was only briefly shocked and restored the lead through Janne Kuokkanen five minutes later. In the final minutes, the Luganesi no longer manage to equalize again, even with a sixth field player.
