Five days on the road: Bolzano engaged in Klagenfurt, Fehervar and Vienna
Difficult commitment”on the road” in sight for theHCB South Tyrol Alperiathat tomorrow he will leave on a five-day journey that sees the Foxes engaged on three different ices. The goal is to regain first placefrom Tuesday evening the prerogative of Innsbruck, and to return to score points after the two consecutive defeats following the international break.
First station: Klagenfurt – On Friday 25 November, at 19:15, Bolzano will cross cues with EC KAC for the second time this season: the first precedent in the Bolzano capital ended with a 4 to 3 in favor of the Foxes. The Carinthians are currently in eighth place in the standings and have a Top Six in their sights. The renewed”Heidi Horten Arena” a very hot stadium is proving to be, with an average of 3,828 spectators: within the walls of their home Koch and his companions have won three consecutive matches and the Foxes try to dispel a curse that has lasted since January 12, 2021, date of the last success in Klagenfurt.
A team, the KAC, which for several years has broadly presented itself with the same roster, which guarantees continuity in terms of performance: at the top of the top scorer, in fact, there are Rok Ticar (19 points), Lukas Haudum and Nick Petersen (both 17 points). A short distance follows one of the few new signings, the Canadian Lucas Lessio, who has scored 7 goals and as many assists so far.
Transfer to Fehervar – After a night in Carinthia the red and white coach will leave for Hungary, where the first match of the season against Hydro Fehervar AV19 will take place on Sunday 27 November at 17:30. The reigning vice-champions are experiencing a fluctuating start to the championship, thanks to the efforts of the Champions Hockey League: however the wind seems to be turning in favor of the Magyars, who have strung together three consecutive victories. The Hungarian one has always been one of the most difficult ices in the league, both for the long journeys and for the very hot cheering. Many exes will take part in the match: among the ranks of the Hungarians, in fact, there are defenders Tim Campbell and Gleason Fournier and forwards Brett Findlay and Alex Petan, with the latter boasting the title of top scorer of the team with 17 points in 20 games.
Last stop: Vienna – Finally, on Monday, the HCB will move to nearby Vienna, for a close rematch against the Capitals, who prevailed last Saturday at the Sparkasse Arena: appointment on Tuesday, at 19:15, for another match with a very high coefficient of difficulty, before the long-awaited return to Bolzano. The Capitals, after the two victories in Alto Adige (there was also a success in Brunico on Sunday), fell heavily in Tyrol, bent 9 to 3 by Innsbruck. Before the match against the red and white, the team coached by coach Barr faces Salzburg and Graz.
House Bolzano – Morale among the Foxes, despite the two consecutive KOs, remains high. The powerplay is showing excellent numbers (26.15%), while the coaching staff is working to return to recording the defensive phase, which has conceded 11 goals in the last two outings. After a few days spent both to catch his breath and to allow the group to train more lucidly, Bolzano is preparing to face this long away match with the right attitude.
At the training level, coach Glen Hanlon will be able to count on all the roster staff.
