Almost half of employers in Portugal have no education or have only completed basic education – Executive Digest
Celebrate National Entrepreneur Day today, and according to data collected by Portal Pordata, almost half of employers in Portugal have no schooling or have only completed basic education.
According to data from the portal in 2021, 47% of employers of employers in Portugal had no education or had only completed basic education. The data are however optimistic taking into account that in 1992 this percentage was 78.5%.
Despite this, in the European context this figure represents 7.86% of employers, making Portugal one of the countries with the most employers in this situation.
It should be noted that in the period of time analyzed, Portugal received the number of employers in this situation at 198.439%, currently being the 5th country in the European Union with the least trained employers.

The National Entrepreneur’s Day is celebrated this Friday, with the aim of highlighting the national entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in the national territory. On this day, companies and associations held sessions aimed at young entrepreneurs and actions to promote contact and interaction between business staff.
Municipalities usually receive associations of entrepreneurs and sign cooperation protocols, all with the aim of bringing together entrepreneurs and creating a climate of mutual help, which allows the promotion of opportunities, ideas and business.
