They will be the first ATR 72-600s to operate in Central Asia.

“Silk Avia’s ATR aircraft will also be equipped with new PW127XT engines, offering a 20% reduction in maintenance costs and a 3% reduction in fuel consumption compared to the current engine.”

In addition, the company and the manufacturer have also signed a global maintenance agreement (GMA). “Through this five-year pay-per-flight hour contract, Silk Avia will benefit from the manufacturer’s expertise for its ATR fleet, resulting in reduced maintenance costs and improved of its operations”, announces ATR.
