NAPLES

The second edition of the Art Days – Naples Campania is underway

Sugar Mizzy November 24, 2022

The second edition of the Days of Art – Naples Campania begins today, November 24, and kicks off four days dedicated to contemporary art, with the aim of enhancing the artistic excellence of the area, triggering a dialogue between the actors of the Campania system, offering visibility from a national and international point of view.
Museums and foundations, galleries, independent spaces and cultural associations but also private collections, an archaeological area and four wineries, hybrid spaces, accommodation facilities. More than 50 places, between Naples and the other capitals, have been selected for this second edition of Art Days, promoted and organized by the curatorial association Attiva Cultural Projects.
Martina Campese, Raffaella Ferraro, Letizia Mari And Valeria Bevilacquafounders of Attiva Cultural Projects, say: «Visitors of all nationalities will also be able to enjoy a special itinerary in each participating institution and gallery and, why not, get to know other excellences and iconic places of the Campania region as well as contemporary art, thanks to our social campaign that tells places, monuments and stories full of emotion, accompanying future visitors up to the days of the event».

Morra Greco Foundation – Caracciolo Palace in Avellino

«Campania already stands out, even at a non-European level – the curators continue – for the caliber of the actors of the art system who publish in the region, but it remains the only territory that does not yet have dedicated appointments that organize all the operators and artists present on it – reads the press release – for this reason we felt the need to plan the Art Days and not a fair: to give the possibility to visitors from all over the world (but also from other Italian regions and from every area of the same Campania) to book a long weekend with the possibility of also benefiting from affiliated accommodation and dedicated tours that tell the story of the regional milieu by interacting directly with the actors who express it throughout the year in their structure: a museum, a private collection, a gallery, an independent space and much more».

Exhibitions, site-specific interventions, performances, talks, guided visits and tours, educational activities, workshops and, for the first time, a dedicated evening programme.
The Madre museum, which granted the Matronage to the event, will offer reduced admission to visitors and will host one of the four talks curated by the Art Days team which focuses on the very current theme of NFT and Crypto Arte. The Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte will offer special openings with discounted or free admission, based on contemporary collections. The Royal Palace of Caserta will offer special guided tours of the Terrae Motus collection.
