“Energy drink continues to be sold in supermarkets”
The banner was rolled out by the Ukraine Solidarity Project (USP), a network of European and Ukrainian activists. The activists explain to the press: “Unlike most global brands, Red Bull has refused to cut ties with Putin’s Russia and the energy drink continues to be sold in supermarkets across the country.”
“It really matters that Red Bull continues to be sold in Russia. It’s one of the biggest brands in the world and its decision to stick with Putin’s Russia is significant. Companies selling their products there pay taxes to the Kremlin and signal that they are ok with the illegal invasion of Ukraine. You must retire. As things stand, Red Bull is giving Putin wings.”
