When you tell someone you’re going to a Bastille concert, unless they’re a die-hard fan, the next question they’ll ask is, “Who is that?” , then it will be clear to everyone which group it is.
Even before the concert itself, however, about a hundred rock listeners had the opportunity to approach the so-called soundcheck – that is, a test during which the band adjusted the microphones and the volume of the musical instruments.
There was also the opportunity to ask Bastille a few questions. And there was also food. They say they like goulash in the Czech Republic, but also the local trdelník.
On Wednesday evening, the British quartet also presented to Czech fans their famous hits and current songs from the album Give Me the Future, which was released this February. Just the songs of Stay Awake? and Give Me the Future started the whole evening.

The theme of the new record is the technological possibilities and threats of the future. In the lyrics, the band criticizes, for example, unethical trading with the data of social network users.
Right after the opening part of the singer’s performance, Dan Smith addressed the audience in Czech. With shouts of “Hello” and “How are you?”, he received a standing ovation. After all, they may have already learned these simple sentences from the previous concert this year. In the summer, he also entertained at the Havířov festivities.
At the concert in Prague’s Holešovice, Bastille’s first single Flaws from 2011 was also played in an acoustic version.

Právě Brit Awards jednou Bastille i vyhráli.
