Two opponents from the Czech Republic: Jestřábi will challenge Litoměřice and Slavia Praha
Two matches await the Prostejov hockey players this week. The Jestřáb team will first face Litoměřice in an outdoor environment on Wednesday. Finally, he will face Slavia Prague on Saturday. Among other things, the Hawks can look forward to two former extraleague stars in the matches. Fullback Jan Výtisk plays for Litoměřice, while Vladimír Růžička Jr. wears the Slavia jersey.
Wednesday will be a duel with Litoměřice. In the North Bohemian city, Prostějov will play against Stadion from 6 p.m. Litoměřice is going through a difficult test this year. The hockey association deprived them of part of the money that until recently went to the academy. The current season thus plays with a lower budget. In the end, however, it is not very clear. The Kališniks are constantly hovering around the fifth place. But now the team alternated short streaks of wins and losses in quick succession. In any case, November was successful for Litoměřice. They won three of the first four matches. They lost only to the first Poruba, and also only by a goal. However, the Litoměřice staff also hint that nothing easy is waiting for Jestřáby. Although Litoměřice lost several key attackers such as Riku Sihvonen, Martin Přikryl, Martin Procházka or Martin Kadlec. However, defender Filip Kuťák and another pre-season signing, Přemysl Svoboda, are showing themselves in a great light. The latter is even among the most productive players in the competition. Jan Holý, Lukáš Válek and also Jan Výtisk, the former sharp back of Liberec and Vítkovic, maintain a high standard of play. Tadeáš and Daniel Král are currently playing in the Stadium’s goal. But their numbers are not the best yet.
On Saturday, on the other hand, Jestřábi will face Slavia Prague from 5 p.m. The team from the capital is not doing well at all in the current season. And it continues the slide from previous years. Seven years ago, Slavia was playing in the extra league. After that, the couple of seasons remained among the best units of the Chance League. But even that no longer applies. The last season is average, and this year even below average. The team is in tenth place. After all, he was the first to change coaches. Daniel Tvrzník replaced Jiří Vebro. The team then pulled away from the bottom, but it is still not in a good position. The team is unable to build a scoring streak to bounce back from. Wins and losses alternate with almost iron regularity. The interesting thing is that the team is a specialist in the same results, eight matches ended with one goal. Looking at the lineup, Slavia does not have a bad team. It retained players such as Tomáš Knotek or Robin Všetečka. In addition, the team includes seasoned players who have already played a lot for the club, for example Vladimír Růžička Jr., Lukáš Žejdl or Michal Poletín. Slavia can be proud of a relatively experienced defense and support in goal in the form of Jakub Málek. Despite the position in the table, it will not be an easy opponent.
