Patrick Rampal and Jean-Michel Cucchi each won a Palme for their work and commitment.
The 4th Palmes de la Médecine ceremony took place last Wednesday at the Negresco in Nice. This event aims to reward the work of health actors in the Alpes-Maritimes and Monaco. The mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, was also present.
In all, 70 candidates presented themselves, but only 10 were awarded for their commitment and innovation in the medical sector. Among them, two doctors working in Monaco: Jean-Michel Cucchi and Patrick Rampal.

Jean-Michel Cucchi won the “Patient Support” prize. Indeed, radiologist and president of the Order of Physicians of Monaco, Jean-Michel Cucchi, from the start of the Covid pandemic, emphasized the essential relationship between the doctor and his patient. For this, it has placed city medicine at the heart of the anti-covid system, in particular thanks to the medical unit for monitoring patients created to accommodate the sick without them necessarily going to hospital.

Patrick Rampal, Professor of Gastroenterology and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Nice, received the “Special Jury Prize” to honor his long career attributed to medicine. Patrick Rampal is today the president of the Scientific Center of Monaco. The institution is also part of the Monegasque delegation sent for COP 27.
