ROME – The presentation of The Ocean Race, crewed sailing around the world which will leave next January 15 from Alicante and will arrive in June, for the first time in history, in Italy and precisely in Genoa. By virtue of this event, called The Grand Finale, the Ligurian capital will be the world capital of sailing.
Primocanale followed the presentation live from Coni in Rome. The arrival of the most extraordinary round-the-world regatta will be a great promotional opportunity for the city and for Liguria, but also a moment of celebration with many events in the “Ocean Live Park” village, which will be set up in the new Eastern Waterfront from 24 June to 2 July 2023.
The Minister of Sports Andrea Abodi during the presentation he elicited the yes from the mayor Marco Bucci for the candidacy of Genoa to host the great sailing event also in 2024 (Look here).
