The Glowacký ice rink hosted charity hockey | PRAGUE 8 | News
Prague 8 has prepared a total of three outdoor ice rinks not only for the citizens of the Municipal District. One of them is the ice surface at the Glowackého Elementary School, where a charity hockey game was held on November 21 to support a young athlete.
Proceeds from the voluntary entrance fee, donation and jersey auction will then be dedicated to the fifteen-year-old hope of the Czech para hockey team. And although it was a purely charity match, it didn’t look like that on the ice and each team wanted victory for themselves.
Both teams had to deal with bad weather when it started to rain during the match.
But that didn’t bother the Bohnics at all and they took the lead in the match. However, the well-known Czech TV sports commentator Robert Záruba proved to be the right captain and tied the score at 1:1 with a quick shot.
But the popular commentator mainly wished that the match would not end in a debacle for his team.
Robert Záruba’s wish finally came true. Although his team lost and the sports terminology was given a “crap”, but at the same time he added three goals, so it was a merciful loss 3:5. But what is more important, the proceeds from the match ended up being over 40,000 crowns, which went straight to the para hockey players Lukáš Kapka. Ondřej Švec, Television Prague.
