NATO, interested in intensifying cooperation with the Republic of Moldova
The Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, pleads for the intensification of cooperation with partners “near and far”, and “with those most affected by Russian aggression and coercion”, among which he mentioned the Republic of Moldova, Georgia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The statement was made by Stolenberg on Monday in Madrid, in an address at the 68th Parliamentary Assembly of the Alliance, which debated issues related to the war in Ukraine.
Jens Stoltenberg called for unity against the Russian aggressor, to avoid “paying a higher price”, reports EFE, taken over by Agerpres.
“I know that this help comes at a price. In our countries, many people are facing a cost of living crisis. Energy and food bills are rising. The price we pay as NATO allies is measured in money, while the Ukrainian state pays this price in blood. If we allow Putin to win, we will all have to pay a much higher price,” the NATO Secretary General warned.
In this regard, he urged the parliamentarians attending the Alliance Assembly in Madrid to “stay the course together”. “I count on all of you, as members of parliament, to stay united!”, invited Stoltenberg.
