João Portugal Ramos challenges to create “synergies” to boost tourism
A round table with the theme “Estremoz as a tourist destination” took place this Tuesday, at Adega Vila Santa, from the company João Portugal Ramos Vinhos, in Estremoz, in the district of Évora.
For this initiative, representatives of public entities, regional tourism entities and the business sector, such as hotels and restaurants, were launched by João Portugal Ramos Vinhos to join the round table panel.
The “new strategies and trends” in the tourism sector remained under debate, namely wine tourism.
Participating in this round table were José Daniel Pena Sádio, Mayor of Estremoz, José Santos, from Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo, Vitor Borges, from Boutique Hotel – Dá Licencia, David Baverstock, Co-founder and Chief Winemaker of Howard´s Folly , Ruben Trindade Santos, from Casa do Gadanha – Turismo de Habitação e Restaurante and Vera Magalhães, Director of Enotourism at Grupo João Portugal Ramos Vinhos. The moderator was Maria João de Almeida, President of the Portuguese Wine Tourism Association (APENO).
The round table began with the words of João Portugal Ramos, Oenologist and Founder, Grupo João Portugal Ramos Vinhos, who began by saying that “vwe live in Estremoz, but we also live in Estremoz”, adding that “to live Estremoz, Estremoz can go even further, there are several companies that have this function and each one has had its role”🇧🇷
The winemaker challenged that if “cry synergy between us, for Estremoz not to be just a place of arrival and departure, but we must create more synergies for people to come and discuss longer, because we all have this ambition and expectation and I think it will happen and the sooner best🇧🇷
The businessman ended by saying that “all together, it will be easier to get there🇧🇷
